Watermark Publishing was founded to help aspiring Christian authors become messengers in the marketplace.
While most publishers only offer traditional publishing options, solicited only through literary agents, Watermark Publishing broke through the barriers and eliminated these challenges by working directly with aspiring authors.
Although we are a traditional publisher, we realize that many authors have a great message and may choose not to go the traditional route.
In 2015, we launched our self-publishing division to provide many of the same benefits as traditional publishing, but creating an avenue for Christian writers to have more control over their work.
Partnered with Ingram Content Group, the largest book distributor and parent company of Spring Arbor, a Christian media distributor, you can be assured your book will have global distribution and availability.

Getting Started...
Most authors know it is hard to get published without having a literary agent. That's so old school!
While literary agents are certainly a valuable asset, and can provide assistance in manuscript submission, content, and contract negotiations, many authors find it frustrating and time-consuming even trying to get an agent to look at his or her work.
In the ever-changing advancements in technology, publishing has become innovative and easier than ever, virtually eliminating many of the steps common to the old publishing world.
Starting as an author is no longer as complicated or tedious as it once was. Watermark is one of the few publishers leading the way by offering both traditional and self-publishing options.
In the past, traditional publishing was the only option for aspiring authors to get their work in print. Today, traditional publishing is still one of the best ways for authors to gain notoriety and credibility by having their work accepted for publication.
Watermark currently accepts submissions for Christian and inspirational non-fiction, fiction, biographies, and instructional (self-help) titles.
We do not publish books that contradict our core values or faith statement.
Upon submission, please allow 4-6 weeks for review and/or consideration. Please review our submission guidelines and process for further consideration.
Traditional Publishing
For those who do not meet the criteria for traditional publishing or simply wish to have more control over their published work, self-publishing is an excellent option for aspiring authors.
Through our self-publishing division, we still require submission for review and acceptance, as well as payment up front to begin working on your publication.
We do offer a no-risk, 100% money-back guarantee should we decide the manuscript does not meet our criteria for self-publishing.
Even with self-publishing, we do not print books that contradict with our core values or faith statement.
